Oil Coolers

The purpose of any oil cooler is to assist in the process of removing heat from any given system, (hydraulic and transmission etc). Oil coolers are an integral part of recycling the oil within a system to continuously remove unwanted heat.

In circumstances where the oil cooler is fatigued and incapable of removing sufficient heat, actions need to be taken to either replace or recondition the oil cooler back to its full working capacity. At GDM Heat Transfer Ltd, we are able to manufacture to specific criteria or utilise existing components in order to do this.

Oil coolers of any size and any material can be replaced, efficiently and cost effectively to reduce inconvenience and down time to a minimum. Oil coolers are subject to working in a vast array of different environments including power generation, industrial machinery, offshore applications etc. Material selection is an important part of ensuring that any oil cooler can perform to its maximum efficiency regardless of the environment. Aluminium, steel, stainless steel, copper are all available to ensure that cooling specifications can be achieved.

Air/Oil Intercal Coolers

GDM oil radiators are currently in use in many industries throughout the world. These high performance lightweight oil radiators have been developed from years of practical experience in the fluid cooling field and can be used for cooling any fluid compatible with aluminium. They provide an effective, economic solution to cooling problems by maintaining the correct oil temperature for your particular application.

The units are of an all aluminium design and consist of a series of pressed plates interspaced by corrugated secondary surfaces. When brazed, a joint is formed at each point the metal touches, forming a strong cross flow cooler.
