GDM would like to extend a warm welcome to Lisa Finney their new Marketing Associate who has joined the company through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) linked to Staffordshire University. The aim of the KTP is to share the knowledge and expertise of the academic, company and associate to improve the competitiveness, productivity and performance of the business.
Lisa Finney, a recent 1st Class Honours Business Management Graduate has recently joined GDM with the aim of developing and implementing a strategic marketing plan over a two year period. With the support of the KTP team and GDM, Lisa intends to build on the already impressive growth record by implementing an effective marketing strategy.
“I am very excited about the KTP project as it not only enables me to gain the experience and knowledge within the heat exchanger market, but also allows me to develop as an individual. I feel that GDM has the potential and the opportunities to compete and grow within this competitive market place, to be at the forefront of the industry”.
GDM has built up a strong relationship with the engineering department at Staffordshire University for over 10 years through both a previous KTP and a partnership business scheme. GDM’s water test rig located at the University not only supports MSc students by providing them with critical equipment, but also aids the development of research into GDM’s heat exchanger performance . Prior to Lisa’s arrival, Stephen Knight (Meng) Mechatronics completed a KTP project within GDM with the aim of extending the range of products by thermally enhancing the performance of its heat exchangers. The outcome of the project was highly successful, with the brazing plant now being in its last stages of development. Combining the new product development and the current KTP scheme, GDM has the ability to provide better solutions to their customers and meet new demands within the market both now and in the future to become a market leader.
“We are very pleased that Lisa is our new team member in the company and we have every confidence that she will provide a strategy to help us build on our success in the future”.
